Field loaded with ranked teams

The 60th Annual Diamond edition of the Whataburger Tournament is loaded with highly ranked preseason TABC teams.  These great teams, coaches, and players will make for the toughest and most competitive field ever in the state plus the nation when they collide on December 28, 29, 30, 2017.

The ORANGE DIVISION is loaded with TABC preseason ranked teams which include the returning defending 2016 Whataburger champions  #2 Denton Guyer,  #3 Houston Sam Houston,  #4 South Garland,  #5 DeSoto,  #7 Katy Tompkins,  #8 Spring Dekaney,  #11 San Antonio Wager,  #12 South Grand Prairie,  #13 North Crowley, #23 Arlington Bowie from 6A along with 5A  #1 Northwest,  #2 Waxahachie,  #3 Mansfield Timberview (2016 State 5A Champions), and  #15 Birdville.  Oh, and don't look past the ever present #2 team in Arkansas, Little Rock Parkview along with Richardson Pearce .  This division will also feature 9 of the Top 25 senior players along with 11 out of the Top 20 junior players in the State of Texas.

The BOYS BLUE DIVISION is also loaded with highly ranked teams which include:  #3 Seminole,  #8 Center,  #12 Abilene Wylie,  #15 Kennedale,  #22 Argyle,  #24 Burkburnett in 4A  along with 3A powers  #1 Bowie,  #3 Brock,  #5 Ponder,  #8 Peaster,  2A  defending 2016 State Champion #10 Muenster, and 1A highly #2 ranked Nazareth boys along with well stocked teams Central Heights, Decatur, Liberty Christian, and Liberty Hill. 

The GIRLS BLUE DIVISION returns several top teams from last year along with new teams which includes 4A #1 Liberty Hill,  (past 4 year straight State Champs) #3 Argyle , #10 Kennedale, #14 Stephenville, #22 Abilene Wylie with 3A  #2 Wall,  #8 Little River Academy,  #10 Bowie,  #11 Jim Ned.  2016  2A State Champions  ranked preseason #1 Panhandle and 2016 1A State Champions and presason ranked #2 Nazareth along with TAPPS 2016 defending 5A Champions also ranked #1 Dallas Christian also adds to a loaded field in this division with other teams  such as Bridgeport, Liberty Christian, Seminole and Ponder returning lots of players and will be highly competitive.
